Awareness, A Building Block

" 'Your awareness that understanding is the path to being understood is critical to evolving as enlightened specie,' Grasshopper complimented." - Conversations With Grasshopper, By Spirita

Conversations With Grasshopper is one of my all time favorite Spirita books. I love the metaphor and the subject matter. It is delivered in a unique way that really feels like it's a grown up fairytale. So if you get a chance please check it out. It's surely worth your time.

Now about the selected quote, I wanted to discuss how awareness in and of itself really is the building block to real change. Being Aware doesn't really change anything, it just puts you in the position to begin to discover and grow.

This quote also touches lightly on a sort of group awareness, awareness as a species. There is a lot of material out there that talks about group enlightenment and all sorts of ascending that can happen with it. Let me prefix this next diversion with a little background for you, of myself and Christine I am the skeptical, atheist one and not afraid to say it. But that doesn't mean I don't believe in the ability of Awareness or Energy to make us Well. I really believe you are responsible for your Wellness and I also believe that Awareness and Energy are real measurable things. Come on, there's a watch that runs off the energy your body releases and that thing is like ten years old, imagine what we will discover about Body Energy ten years from now. As for Awareness, there is no harm that can come from clearing out the clutter in your brain. I have...had...have a very cluttered brain sometimes.

And that's how we find our way back to the building block. If you have a clear mind you can begin to grow and discover your world. Your new awareness and peace will spread, either a little or a lot, to those you encounter. That's the true essence of "group Awareness". If you are Aware and Well people will probably ask why or they will just so enjoy your company that they will want to strive for Wellness as too. This group Wellness probably won't lead to any ascensions or global transformations, but it would make everything and everyone nicer, which is a pretty great goal.

LUNA ESTRELLA

Luna y Estrella

A Dibble about Emerging

“Oh yoo-hoo, Miss Moon, I need your help,” the little star implored.

“Well hello, Starlette,” Luna, the moon, responded. “What assistance do you require?”

“I seek to emerge as a brighter presence and shine brilliantly,” the little star stated emphatically.

“And what will that accomplish for you?” Luna questioned.

“I don’t really know for sure,” Starlette admitted, “but I feel an urge to intensify my presence and influence the space around me with more light.”

“That’s an interesting intention,” Luna humored. “What motivated this interest?”

“I feel energy not empowered. I sense brightness not discovered. I want to glow and shine and become a guiding light,” Starlette implored.

“You have the power to do that now,” Luna assured.

“Then why am I not so?” Starlette questioned with mounting perplexity.

“Because you have always seen yourself as ‘less than’ you desired; because you manifest wanting rather than being, you are as you are. You see, Starlette, desiring the power to ‘be’ resides in all of us. We must merely manifest that power,” Luna revealed. “When you modify your condition from wanting greater illumination to being that illumination, the glory you possess will emerge.”

“I accept your wisdom, Luna, but what makes the difference between my wanting and my being?” Starlette requested.

“The difference is the serenity of your realizations,” Luna offered. “When your outward manifestations reflect your inner peacefulness, you transform wanting to being. The sanctuary of your serenity lies within your passion for unity with all energy. Your brilliance will reflect that discovery.”

“I am grateful for your wisdom, Luna,” Starlette released. “I am who I am. I am a light unto the land. Let those who seek peace share my energy. I am the Star of Bethlehem.”

This passage is from A Book of Dibble by Spirita.  The story of Starlette and Moon happened to be one of the first passages I read when I was introduced to the idea that is Spirita.  After much thought, I see the message of awareness oozing from this story.  Simply put, the starlet became aware of being able to be more (not just wanting) and transformed it into being more.  The simple task of being aware that you “want” to be more is not how one physically changes; manifesting “being” the changes necessary is the basic step in accomplishing the goal of actualization.  One has to actively “do” to be.
I see this passage recalling not only Christian ideologies but also metaphysical ideology as well.  The passage recalls a Christian ideology by the little star transforming into the star that lead the three wise men to see a new born baby in a manger.  And the passage reflects the ideology metaphysical genre with the book “The Secrete” Believing you want to be enough is just not enough.  One has to actively grab a hold of the power that lies inside each and every one of us and physically be it.  I challenge our readers to interpret this story with their own Spirita and share their comments.

You Were Born This Way

I was always told, "You are the way God made you." I may not have kept the strong faith I was brought up in but I did keep this old idiom near and dear to me.

I sincerly believe this is true. You are who you are, and while you will always have the free will to make your Choices and explore the world as you see fit, your Soul is the one you were born with. Sure you may discover new things about yourself. Recently I have been discovering I am braver than I thought, but this has always been part of me I am simply becoming Aware of it.

The Spirita book "Snippettes of Spirit" has a short but powerful passage, marked only by the number 61:

If you are
Soul born
you need not
be
Reborn.

Short and to the point but it does make since. In you vast and wide search for Awareness you will confront your Soul. You aren't going to be born anew through Awareness. Your already here, your already you but you will be more apt to Honor Yourself.

Kinda the flip side of this is that if you are the way you are, so is everyone else. So, there's a certain understanding of accepting others.

Really in a nut shell I believe you should Honor yourself by accepting you and then accept others as you would want them to accept you. Nut shell, simple as that.

Jackie

Who is Spirita? What is Spirita?

Spirita is Twinkles.

Spirita is the Twinkle you see when you connect with somenone.

Spirita is the Twinkle you feel when you get excited inside or gooey all over.

Spirita is the Twinkle you hear when a voice or music or nature communicates in
special ways.

Spirita is not a person or a face or a shape or an object to see or hold.

Spirita is you Soul announcing your presence aand welcoming inspirations.

Spirita is Awareness Transformed to Being.

This passage is found in every Spirita book to date. It is usually the second or third page. When I first was asked to be on the Spirit Connection radio show (http://www.blogtalkradio.com/spiritconnection), my first question was "Who is Spirita?" Then it was "What is Spirita?" In short Spirita is not who or what, it lies within ourselves. It is up to each and every one of us to develop our own "Spirita." This passage then begs the question, "What is a twinkle?" The Spirita inside of me says it is a gut feeling, an intuition. The key is to start listening to the feeling (or becoming aware that these "twinkles" exists.) Once awareness of these things exists, then one will hone in on getting better as interaction with their Spirita and will automatically transform into being the person choice permits.

Viewpoints

Maybe, the next time around,

we will be giraffes

and

see things

differently.

The idea of this blog is to translate the idea of awareness as it relates to the
Spirita body of work. The Goal is to take the writing of Spirita (a channeled author) and
make these quotes into my own. I didn't write these quotes, but the are mine to
understand. I suggest to our readers that same idea, take these quotes and spend a
few minutes and find the meaning of them for you. Because just like having a
conversation with someone, we might not see things the same and different is O.K.
Just like a giraffe is different, it is still O.K. Today, I would like to discuss a quote from
Spirita's book, Sunshine Syllabus:

"Peacefulness"

Peacefulness

is available

during Solitary Moments

Embracing your Soul

with Transparent Communication

and Lullabies.

I chose this quote to help develop the Awareness Blog due to Jackie's last last on
solitude. I enjoy my solitude, not because I am not a loner or have social avoidence
issues, I enjoy hanging out with myself. I see Jackie's point of solitude allowing for
creativity, but I submit that is also allows one to become more in tune with one's self.
In order to be alone, or solitary, I have come to the realization I have to to start getting to know
myself, when there are not other people to distract my attention. The peacefulness lies
with me, not because someone else puts it there. I have to know who I am on the inside
(soul, if you will) transparently and that leads to awareness. I like hanging out with myself,
even it is only for a few short minutes every day and with more people would get to know themselves, we would all be aware of others needs.

Loner

"A lone wolf", "loner", "recluse." Society has spent a lot of time making up words and phrases to identify  people that would just prefer to be left alone.

I am one of these people. Don't get me wrong I love my friends, my co-workers, and most of all my family. But sometimes I need alone-time. That sometimes is a lot. If two or three days has gone by and in those two or three days, every activity I have engaged in has been populated by other people, I tend to get grouchy, a bit touchy.

I am very Aware of this. When I tell people that I just like being alone, I get a lot of weird looks. People either think I'm The Misery Chick, obsessed with being sad and loving propagating my own depression, or they think I have some low self esteem issue and am to afraid to be around other people. Neither of these is true. I'm not sad, lonely, or miserable. Being alone does not form or nurture any of these emotions in me. I am very Aware of my feelings toward my solitude mainly because my pretension for solitude was pointed out at a very young age, labeled "social avoidance" and brought up during parent-teacher conferences.  Luckily my parents are both loners too and knew nothing was wrong with me I just liked being alone.

See, they saw that being Alone doesn't mean being Lonely. Really, aside from having similar sounds and letters, these words don't have much in common.

There is a wonderful Spirita book, "Writer's Cramp" that has a few thoughts about solitude, about being a lone. I really took to it. Before I explain why, I'll share it with you:

Solitude

Solitude invents anguish
eclipsed by the
ascension of awareness that
writing transcends
loneliness.

See, when I am alone I don't feel a lone. It gives me a chance to be with my creativity, my own awareness. If Creativity fuels Awareness, then I need my a lone time in order to keep going.
When I am alone, I am most Aware.

Where ever, however, when ever is  the best place or time for Awareness to be nurtured I have agreed to take it.

I am not a loner, lonely or a lone. I simply need to be by myself. This might not be everyone's way but I think it is a good demonstrator of the uniqueness of each person's Awareness Hunt.

Until Next Time,
Jackie

Awareness of Self

This Blog is meant to explore Awareness. But to I wonder, how can you do this if you are not aware? How can you go about pulling about how to reach awareness not being aware of You, your world, your life? I suppose the easiest answer would be just do you best and see what happens. So, assuming the old adage is correct and the simplest answer is the correct one. I’ll give it my best shot.
I believe that Awareness starts with you. How can you be Aware of the world around you if you aren’t Aware who you have Chosen to be in it?
I defer to Spirita to explain Awareness of self. This is a selection from Symphonetic Musing. I really like this Spirita book because even when you’re not reading it, it’s fun to look at. The cover was designed by KivaWoman and makes me feel better by just catching a glimpse of the book waiting for me on the coffee table.
Ok, now back to the excerpt:
50th Movement
Were
Not here
or there
is
Somewhere
because
it is where
You are.
Make since? I had to think about it for awhile too. But it’s true You will always be who You are. So, figuring out who that is and who You Choose to Be is going to be so important.  Locations change, your company changes, time marches on but you are always you.
There it is, Choice and Awareness, hand-in-hand.  Become Aware of Choice, Chose who You want to be, and be Aware of the Choice.  A+B=C, or something like that.
Talk soon,
Jackie

The Very First Awareness Blog

We started a blog about awareness. I have a continual struggle with what "being
aware" means. Being aware of oneself is a difficult task but not impossible. What does
it take to become aware? This morning I quickly looked up the word awareness in the
Microsoft Word program and found a meaning that "fits":

"Knowing that something exists because you notice it or realize that it is happening."

Being aware has unending implications that can have a wonderful outcome. Today's post will revolve around the writing of Spirita in the book "Inspirations" entitled Gifted.

Gifted

You are internally and eternally gifted

to create choices

matching your visions

of

Who You Choose to Be

Inspired by Lupita lamenting her 'ordinary' condition that offered limited adventure to
her.
When I read something like this, I realize two things: what is Spirita? ME. What does this mean to me? Awareness.

Even though this short clip from a profound book does not say specifically "awareness", the underlying tone is about becoming aware.

To have a choice means that you are aware that a choice exists. It is then that
one has the ability to become aware that it is a choice to see these choices as a gift.
The internally and eternally gifts are both located within and without end. Are you aware you have a choice to be "who you choose to be."?
Until Next Time,
Christine
