“This
is an invitation
to
express Creativity.”
This passage comes from the Spirita book Snippettes of Spirita (sic) and I think really speaks to the awareness that we can all find in ourselves. Now many of us will read this passage and dismiss it because we cannot see our creative potential. But I want you to read this passage again…. Slowly, deliberately, and open mindedly.
What is creativity in its simplest form? A quick Google.com search gives you an outlook implying it is simply the act of creating something new and attaching value to it. Hint, three times a day humans make meals for themselves. Making dinner is a creative outlet. Before dinner there were just ingredients, while making it, we are on a mission to create a delicious meal, and after we enjoy it. Dinner will be an outlet to “Creativity,” even if you are not good at it. Another example is children; by creating fun games to play with your own kids, nieces, nephews, or cousins you can express your own creativity and help a child display their creativity. There are a million other small things one can participate in every day that is an “invitation to express your creativity.”
Look around; be aware of the opportunities presented to you. Creativity is not just about making art or poetry; it is so much more than that. A smile is valuable and if I get that from someone because I dance inside the mall at random, then my invitation for creativity has been met.
Until Next Time,
-C-
