Who is Spirita? What is a Spirita?

Spirita is Twinkles.

Spirita is the Twinkle you see when you connect with someone.

Spirita is the Twinkle you feel when you get excited inside or gooey all over.

Spirita is the Twinkle you hear when a voice or music or nature communicates in special ways.

Spirita is not a person or a face or a shape or an object to see or hold.

Spirita is your Soul announcing your presence and welcoming inspirations.

Spirita is Awareness Transformed to Being.

What does Spirita look like? Just look in the mirror.

This passage comes from the front of all of the Spirita books.  It speaks of what the basic principle for Spirita.  When I first read this passage I could not grasp how it related to me, so I pondered.  Twinkles are thrown in this excerpt but what does a twinkle mean to me? Or you?  Or to us finding our awareness?  Today I will discuss just this.

After a lot of contemplation, I like to think of a twinkle as a gut feeling.  This is a feeling of knowing the truth of something from deep down inside and not having to find an answer outside oneself.  Most of us have had at least one amazing first date, we are aware of the connection on a level that is unexplainable.  You met this person, went on a date, and now the fireworks (or twinkles) are filling your insides.  It could be in your heart (but the feeling doesn’t end there), it could be in your guts (almost a physical feeling), it could be in your head (head a little swimmy), or it could be your ears longing for the voice of this person (what a great feeling.)  When a twinkle hits, one sees it, feels it, hears it, and ultimately, experiences it. 

Women in the American society are culturally trained to keep their woman’s intuition sharp.  Intuition is not solely a woman thing; men have this ability to follow and know intuition. I can relate a twinkle to intuition by it is something internally known.  It feels like the answers just came to you from an unknown source, but it is the real deal.  This is your souls way of communicating.  We have to take notice of these twinkles to find our souls inspirations and true path. 

Twinkles are not an external feeling; it is totally an internal feeling.  As a human, we let our brain (logical or ego driven thinking) guide our  day to day activities.   But to know you, a great place to start would be to start paying attention to your feelings.  Our soul wants to guides us on a path.  Once it starts getting listened to, we can turn that awareness into being.
